Apron Guidance

From the beginning of 2010 at Budapest Ferihegy a new ATC service became available. This is the Apron Control. There are two new positions: Apron West (Terminal 1 on 131.500) and Apron East (Terminal 2 on 121.450).
Their job is to approve the push back and start up procedures then to control the aircrafts until the handover points (ex. L, T7N, U) and from the handover points to the gates.
In October 2009 the airport trained 20 controllers on the network of IVAO with the help of our members.
Apron Guidance Project v2
From the beginning of 8th March, Budapest Ferihegy airport staffed between 16Z and 20Z during 3 weeks excluding weekends. The purpose of the ATC is a kind of traning for apron controllers. These controllers are the workers of Budapest Airport who will learn the bases of the phraseology and tha local procedures here in the IVAO network.
We kindly ask you to come and fly here in Budapest to help the controllers. Before your flight please check the airport chart, especially the taxi charts.
See you in Budapest!
